Does Halloween bring out the freaks? Although we can spot them in Hollywood all year long, they get even more freaky in celebration of Halloween.

Just think of the unlikely duo photographed at the Halloween party at the Playboy mansion on Saturday. Larry Birkhead, disguised as Darth Vader, was hanging out with celebutante Paris Hilton, dressed as a wild-looking Alice in Wonderland. Horny bloggers felt his expression lacked enthusiasm for standing next to one of that hotties of Hollywood which makes us further wonder about those allegations that Birkhead and Howard K. Stern were butt buddies…

Meanwhile, the Anna Nicole Smith saga goes on. The hearing regarding the untimely death of Smith’s son Daniel was delayed until November 19 because of approaching tropical storm Noel. Magistrate William Campbell says the only issue for the jury to determine is the cause of death as the police have no evidence of a homicide. There will be 35 witnesses testifying before the Coroner’s Court jury during the inquest of Daniel Smith, who died on September 10, 2006 when visiting his mom only three days after sister Dannielynn was born in a Nassau hospital. According a pathologist hired by Anna Nicole, her son died from a deadly combination of drugs such as methadone and antidepressants.

Members of Anna Nicole’s family were in the Bahamas for the hearing, including Virgie Arthur. Interesting to note that Howard K. Stern, Anna Nicole’s lawyer and partner, was not present. Larry Birkhead was partying and Dannielynn was?

We’ve all been watching the Britney Spears chronicles ever since her split started from K-Fed. While we rejoiced she left that loser, many didn’t think the tides would turn the way they have.

Despite the fact her drug tests were negative and no glaring abuse was found to her children, Commissioner Scott Gordon denied Britney Spears custody of her kids and gave her three visits per week, from 12 noon to 7 PM and one overnight visit. All visits will be monitored and Spear and K-Fed need to figure out holiday schedules. Brit must prove she childproofed her pool area by Friday. According to Gordon, when Brit has the boys, “the environment at the house ranged from chaotic to almost somber with little communication at all.” He states the coach complained that “during all three of my visits, Ms. Spears rarely engaged with the children either in conversation or play.” The coach also wrote that Brit seemed to have a “lack of general attention at times” but nothing was there was she “would characterize as abusive in a traditional sense.”

Then why did Brit lose the kids? Was K-Fed drug tested? How about his house (paid for by Britney) – is it childproofed? Anyone check the kids wandering in diapers on their birthday while in his custody? What if he didn’t have Brit’s money – how would he take care of them and support them? Mighty convenient for K-Fed that he gets custody the day his spousal support runs out. Still riding the gravy train without getting a life – sounds like a super example for his sons.

Seems that the remark that damned Brit from the coach was, “The problem is that unless Ms. Spears realizes the consequences of her behavior and the impact that it has [on] her children, nothing is going to be successful.” Will anyone be coaching K-Fed or does he just take the money and run?

Luckily Paris wasn’t driving when her black Cadillac Escalade got side-swiped by an overenthused pap (hey can you blame them) who was trying to get a shot of the heiress rather than a shot at her. Anyway, Hilton was in the back seat when it happened as the car pulled into a alley behind Kitson, trendy boutique on Robertson Boulevard. Earlier that day, Paris had launched her new fragrance in the same place and didn’t even seem to smell the trouble to come later…

The Escalade was parked when it got hit and the driver say, “The car is backing up into me, in reverse, as my client is getting out of the car. Basically, it was either me risking hurting my client, which I wasn’t willing to do, of course, or taking the hit. Se we took the hit.” Seems that the pap accidentally left his vehicle in reverse…Anyway, one of the bodyguards complained about neck pain (or did he just think the pap was a pain in the neck?) but no one went to the hospital, no cops or paramedics were called and Paris went about shopping as usual. After all, when a girl’s gotta shop, she’s gotta shop…

Today is the moment of reckoning for Britney Spears as she faces the custody battle in court for her kids. Just a couple of days ago, Brit and K-Fed were in the same room at the Beverly Hills Hotel with counselor Al Gibbs, learning how to handle their kids. The parenting class went well and word on the street says that it’s because Brit liked being around K-Fed – is that possible?! Horny bloggers just don’t want to believe it…

Anyway, things are looking up on Brit’s hit and run charge to, which was settled at about a thousand bucks plus rental car fees – a drop in the bucket for Brit to avoid prosecution for a hit and run. She still faces the other criminal charge of driving without a California license and Spears has pleaded not guilty. That charge was supposed to coincide today with the custody case, which is in full force right now. With all this going on, the dancer in “Gimme More” want more and say they haven’t been paid up yet…

Seems like everyone wants a piece of Brit’s cash – will K-Fed get custody and child support now that his spousal support is over? Everyone was so busy watching the other magicians that David Copperfield must have had a clear playing field. After all, who could resist checking out Pam Anderson as she assisted Hans Klok in Sin City? Or how about all the babes courted by Criss Angel – how that guy got to be seen babes like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Minnie Driver still amazes us more than his performance.

Anyway, seems that the FBI raided David Copperfield’s Vegas warehouse to seize digital camera equipment and a computer hard drive based on allegations made by woman in Seattle who claims that Copperfield sexually assaulted her in the Bahamas. In fact, David owns a series of islands in the Bahamas. It seems that according to word on the street, Copperfield used his show to “pick up women” by targeting them in the audience and then bringing them behind stage after the show to interview them about what they liked and take digital photos. Apparently the ladies were asked if they liked the Bahamas and several women are coming forward with stories of David’s backstage antics. The latest woman who claims that Copperfield singled her out is Amanda from Atlanta who will be on television tonight talking about her experiences with the magic man.

While Pam Anderson worked off her debts in bed with Rick Salomon and then married him in Sin City amidst the (untrue?) rumors she is pregnant, Kid Rock was kicking Tommy Lee’s butt – or trying to. If that wasn’t enough, Kid Rock that got involved in an altercation at a Waffle House with a patron who was exchanging words with a female at his party. With all the good ol’ butt kicking going on, there’s still more being held against Kid Rock – seems that someone thinks Kid stole his song.

Yes, a dude by the name of Maurice Foreman from the hills of Kentucky says it is not a coincidence that Kid Rock’s hit song “So Hott” is so similar to his song “Slow Death” and the guy is pissed off enough to file suit. Seems that Foreman is looking for help from Chaunce Hayden of Steppin’ Out to try to find legal representation and he says he has a copyright for his song that was written in 1997. According to Foreman, Kid sings “so hot” three times in the same way he sang “slow death” and the lead guitar notes are the same. However, Maurice is “a poor guy who works in a factory so I don’t have a lot of money” so it has been difficult to find a lawyer. Is this the next set of allegations facing Kid Rock? Can Kid calm down?

Kid Rock is barely done brawling with Tommy Lee while Pam Anderson got ready to marry Rick Salomon and now finds himself arrested after another brawl in a restaurant. He spent 12 hours in the slammer before he was released.

Seems that Anderson’s fighting was at the Waffle House at about 5 AM after his performance at The Tabernacle when the fight broke out. According to Mekka Parish, spokeswoman for the DeKalb County Police Department, Kid Rock, “…and five members of his entourage were involved in a fight with a male customer inside the Waffle House. It escalated to a physical altercation between Kid Rock and that male customer and moved outside to the parking lot.” At one point, the customer punched out a window in the restaurant.

The fight apparently broke out when the male customer recognized a female with the Kid Rock party and started to exchange words with her. After the fight, Kid Rock left in his tour bus and got stopped by the cops about a mile from the incident. Kid Rock and five members of his entourage got taken into custody for a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. The male customer got charged with a felony, criminal damage to property, and was treated at a hospital for bruises and cuts. No one from Kid’s crowd landed in the hospital and his publicist hasn’t commented about the fight.

Okay, Brit was scooting around town with her boys again – that Preston and Jayden James. Yes, the next potential candidate for mother of the year (according to the Mommie Dearest unofficial and possibly nonexistent stats) got back temporary visitation rights of her sons according to her lawyer.

Anne Kiley, the current attorney (how long will this last) for Brit emailed the press saying, “Yes, she has visitation with the children.”

Seen tooling around San Fernando Valley, it seemed as if her obviously older companion in the passenger seat of that infamous white Mercedes convertible was a court-appointed monitor. Seems that that court order from Superior Court Commish Scott Gordon said she had to comply but didn’t say exactly what she had to comply with. It did mention her “habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol”, After some resistance, Brit did undergo those weekly drug tests but it seems those drug tests seemed to say something else…so it seems Spears has her little ones for now, but…

Anyway, another hearing is happening on October 26. After all, the clock is ticking on useless, jobless and talentless K-Fed’s spousal support, which ends as of November – how else is he getting at Britney’s cash?

Rehab seems to be just another trendy Hollywood hangout these days. After all, cool celebs such as Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan went to rehab and even found romance while they were attempting to improve their heads – or at least save their images. Of course, there’s another up and coming young female pop star who is famous for not only going to rehab but trying to avoid rehab and even singing about rehab…

Amy Winehouse, properly named for her penchant for partying, liquor and well…stuff. Seems that Amy got caught in Norway for hanging out with Mary Jane – yes, marijuana possession. Hey, didn’t we catch Cameron Diaz checkout out some of that famous gold in Hawaii? Anyone got a snack?

Anyhow, Amy and hubby Blake Fielder-Civil along with an unknown third party got arrested in Bergen when the cops were tipped off. According to prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe, “They were found with seven grams (about a quarter ounce) of marijuana. She’s paid the fine, so this thing is over for us now.”

The best part of it all is that Amy will be moving on to the Netherlands from here – hey, no worries there, where Amy can party all she want and the law is on her side.

Seems that luscious Lindsay Lohan is already causing trouble since she’s out of rehab – or did she start while she was still there? Apparently as LiLo was putting the pieces of her life together, she wrecked someone else’s – Bree Tierney. Bree is the woman in Utah that was shocked to find out about her fiance Riley Giles’ romance with LiLo in the tabloids. Momma Tierney says, “Riley just stopped calling Bree and never told her about Lindsay. It destroyed her.”

Meanwhile, word on the street says Linds may now be engaged to Giles herself. Although a rep for Lindsay said the rings on her fingers were from Papa Lohan and Cartier, paps got a different answer in the Valley. When a reporter asked Lohan if she was engaged to ex-con Giles she didn’t reply but her bodyguard threw out, “Yeah.”

Further rumor says that Lindsay may have sneaked out the back door of the Raffes Hotel in Beverly Hills the other night to haunt one of her former hot spots – Chateau Marmont. Maybe Lohan learned how to avoid getting caught in rehab…we know she picked up other stuff, like Giles. The relationship between Lindsay and Riley promises to be coke-filled, partying, sexed up version of Britney Spears and K-Fed.
