The trouble continues for Britney Spears because last night she was committed for the second time. This time, Spears was taken to UCLA Medical Center because that is the hospital where her new psychiatrist practices. When the new psych arrived at Spears’ home, he felt she was a danger to herself and others because of reckless driving and “downhill behavior”. The new doc was secured by Brit’s attorneys, Tara Scott and Anne Kiley. The plan to commit Brit was days in the making and cops were ready, referring to her as “The Package” while in transport. The L.A. County Superior Court Judge signed a 5150 (no, it has nothing to do with Van Halen) putting Brit on three-day psychiatric hold.

Sam Lufti and Britney’s parents fought it out about medical decisions and it seems that the parents are winning. According to a source, Britney’s mom, dad and brother were “working closely with the LAPD for weeks” to get her back in psychiatric treatment. Currently, UCLA is “fully cooperating” with mom and dad, awaiting the judge to sign a order. When Brit was told she was going to UCLA she said, “Is something wrong?” She did not resist and make hot cocoa before the paramedics arrived. Seems that Spears didn’t sleep since Saturday, raising major concerns for her doc. Apparently Spears’ mom wasn’t as agreeable and blamed Sam for her daughter being committed and got agitated, causing Brit to scream to mom, “Shut the hell up!” Oddly enough, Momma Spears and Adnan Ghalib drove to UCLA Med Center in the same vehicle. We’ve watched a lot of the ladies of Hollywood get into serious trouble over the past year because of their misdirected driving. From fender benders to unlicensed driving to jail time, honeys such as Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie faced their bad driving habits and were forced to deal with them. Maybe one of the most disturbing driving instances of all occurred when Brandy was driving last December, 2006.

Last year, Brandy was in an fatal car accident that resulted in the demise of Awatef Aboudihaj, a mother of two children. Although the L.A. City Attorney decided not to file criminal charges against pop singer Brandy, the husband of Aboudihaj is suing the star for an undisclosed amount. While Brandy is sure to have been relieved to avoid criminal charges, she still has to face time in court. Currently Brandy is being deposed in the civil case and was spotted visiting her attorney’s office – and she was dropped off after riding in a gold Range Rover. While Brandy may have escaped a criminal record and jail time, she still may have a hefty price to pay for that day back in December…we’ll have to see how those depositions go for Ray-J’s sis and whether she’ll wind up paying for her accident…

Is Sam Lufti a crazed bully or is he just trying to protect Britney Spears from herself? Apparently Lufti and Brit had a major fight and Spears called pap boyfriend Adnan Ghalib for help. When he got to her home, he was not allowed past her security gate because of Lutfi. According to a statement from Ghalib through his photo agency, Finalpixx, “The truth is that Sam Lutfi started an argument with Britney and the two ended up in a screaming fight. Sam continued to verbally abuse Britney as she sat barefoot on the curb at her Summit home crying holding her dog London…Britney called Adnan for help and he heard the distress in her voice and drove to the Summit immediately. While outside the gates he was denied access as Sam Lutfi had informed the guards that he was not allowed entry. When Adnan then tried to call Britney it seems that Sam had turned all of her cell phones off…”

When another pap asked Brit if she was alright, she tearfully answered, “I’m fine. I’m sitting for once and having a nice time with my dog.” Word on the street says that there was a conversation between Ghalib and Lufti where Sam told the pap he was a “manic trigger” that would “kill her” if Ghalib continued to contact Spears and that Adnan should “cease all contact with her completely.”

Seems that Spears and Sam fought after the info Lufti shared with Barbara Walters who then passed it to the public on “The View”. Walters stated, “He said that Britney is suffering from what he describes as mental issues which are treatable. He said that she has been to a psychiatrist and that she, I assume, is starting some kind of treatment.” He also told Walters that Britney has “mood swings” and “she’s been having trouble sleeping.” Is Sam trying to help Britney or is he just a self-centered, egotistical nut? Guess time will tell…but we still think it’s a good idea to keep Ghalib away…

It seems that Adnan Ghalib is already rearing his ugly head before he loses his 5 minutes of fame and blends back into the paparazzi sea. Ghalib claims he was falling in love with Brit and wanted to marry her. Now Adnan is looking for 2 million bucks for videos he took of Spears in moments of distress. Apparently Ghalibs way of showing his love is taking six video diaries of Britney blabbing to the camera, laughing and crying – and then trying to become a millionaire from it. Smells like K-Fed…

Now Sam Lufti is stepping up to the plate in Britney’s whirlwind world and already he’s got three restraining order against him. A former friend of Lufti, Danny Haines, got one of the restraining orders and said that he told Haines he should just “kill himself” when the friendship was over and that Lufti was “more jealous than a lover.” Apparently Haines’ court docs say Sam wrote an email that he hoped his sister was raped to death and his mother’s flesh and bones would be devoured by Satan. Seems that Sam’s reps were never reached and Britney is hanging out with another unstable guy…and she really could use some stability since she’s in bad shape herself…

Alright, we know that Jessica Simpson has been blamed for Tony Romo’s minimized performance because he seems to be distracted by her lovely assets (can you blame him?). Now that the Dallas Cowboys lost the playoffs to the New York Giants, the hype has reach new levels and apparently Jess is pissed off about it now – and ready to take action.

OK magazine published an article about Simpson called “Jessica Dumped” in their February 4 issue and Jess ain’t having it. The article says that Tony dumped Simpson after the Cowboys were eliminated from the NFL playoffs. According to the attorneys for Jessica, the claims made the the OK article are “utterly false” and the statements are “based on nothing more than rumor, gossip and innuendo.” The article also said that sister Ashlee Simpson is trying to “distance herself” from Jessica and the attorneys say that’s not true either.

Simpson’s lawyers sent a letter to Sarah Ivens, editor-in-chief of OK, informing her the article is bogus and letting her know Tony and Jessica are still a couple and Ashlee and Jess are still close. The lawyers claim the article is a “smear campaign” the subjected their client to “public contempt, ridicule, aversion or disgrace” and they want OK to “immediately public a prominent and unambiguous retraction.” Guess these kind of rumors are not okay with Jess…

We’ve followed many honeys of Hollywood and lately explored the troubles of some of the men. While we continue to worry about popwrecks such as Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse, 28-year-old actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment on Tuesday. There were six different prescription drugs found in Ledger’s apartment including sleeping pills and anti-depressants and a rolled up $20 bill with no traces of drug use. According to Ellen Borakove, spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office, an autopsy was inconclusive and more will be known after further testing in about 10 days.

Ledger was found by a massage therapist when she showed up for an appointment and she called Mary-Kate Olsen for advice when she found her number programmed into Heath’s cell phone and then she called 911. Within moments, Olsen’s security team and the paramedics were present. All the actor’s friends, family and colleagues were shocked by Ledger’s death.

Ledger appeared in memorable movies such as “10 Things I Hate About You”, “Candy”, “I’m Not There” and “Brokeback Mountain”. Heath will appear in his final performance as the Joker in the Batman movie coming soon, “The Dark Knight”. Flower and votives are set up by his apartment and a note near the memorials reads, “Heath, how could anyone hate 10 things about you. We couldn’t find one bad thing about you. God bless your soul, you’re in our prayers.”

There’s serious trouble in Hollywood when it comes to the babes. After watching Paris Hilton do jail time, Nicole Richie serve a grueling hour in jail, Lindsay Lohan endure rehab and marathon sex with Giles and then Britney Spears and all of her antics, it’s time to check out Britain’s best popwreck – Amy Winehouse.

In honor of her famous “Rehab” song, Amy dances with the place and never really seems to get there. Although rumors said Winehouse was in rehab, her rep reported she “is not in rehab”. The world thinks she should check in, though, after checking out the 19-minute video of Winehouse posted by The Sun. In the video, it seems apparent that Amy is using a variety of drugs including ecstasy, cocaine and crack. During the video, Winehouse is seen lighting a glass pipe as she stands directly in front of the wedding picture of her with Blake Fielder-Civil. Hubby is still in jail waiting on a trial for assault and perversion of justice.

According to The Sun, “She fires it up with a lighter and inhales deeply several times, holding the fumes in her lungs as long as possible to maximise the effect. The voice that has sold millions of records is transformed into a weak, breathless croak as she tries to talk.” We just wonder how everyone knows what’s in the pipe…and if Amy will ever find her way to rehab – no, no, no…

Britney has a lot of guys scuffling to be by her side these days, despite the loss of ex K-Fed and her two sons in the related custody battle. Oddly enough, despised American Idol judge Simon Cowell has said about Spears, “It looks to me at the moment she’s out of control…She’s welcome to call me any time.” Wonder if Brit would actually call to brush up on her accent a bit mate…until Simon started hurling the insults…

Anyway, with hurling in mind, it seems that the rumors about Britney filing a restraining order against pap pal Adnan Ghalib are just that…or at least Ghalib says he’s not aware of one. When pressed if he had a fight with Brit, Adnan said, “everything is and was fine” and he was out of town and Spears has “been in the care of Sam”. Word on the street say sit was Sam who showed two other paps the order and that Brit is pissed that Adnan might be selling pics of her. Wow, horny bloggers wonder how racy those pics are…and how soon we can all see them? Anyway, taking photos isn’t grounds for a restraining order and these days the most kindness Britney may get is from Simon Cowell…or is he just trying to get in on who will me most macho over Spears?

The drunken celebrity jail march goes on only this time we’re checking on a male in jail. Apparently the time has arrived for Jack to get back because Kiefer Sutherland is being sprung out of jail – without having to fight any guards or plan a great escape to get out. After getting caught drunk driving, Sutherland spent the last 48 days of his life tending to laundry duty in the slammer. The prison guards reported that Kiefer was “very humble and never complained” during his stint in the big house washing sheets and clothes. His stay sure is a far cry from the hour of time Nicole Richie did or the walk-in post rehab appearance made by Lindsay Lohan…

As for the other long-term jail bird and DUI poster child, Paris Hilton, she is back on track and partying hearty like she used to. Hilton arrived in the land of the Mormons to party down with other fast track celebrities at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. She hung out at the Stereo NYC Lounge and had a glittery, glamorous time until she dashed to her SUV in waiting. With all these celebrities in Utah, there may be even more DUI action going on – outside of Los Angeles this time! Bloggers will be watching and waiting…

While the sad news comes out about singer Lily Allen’s miscarriage, it seems that Britney Spears was shopping for a pregnancy test at Ralph’s grocery store for “a friend”. Was that one of Brit’s personalities – perhaps the British Brit? Anyway, while pretty preggers such as Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie enjoy their new families, Britney is losing custody of her kids and shopping for pregnancy tests.

Meanwhile, rumor has it Sean Penn’s marriage was put on the rocks because of a sexy interaction with sensual Sienna Miller at a New York city party. However, friends of Penn and a rep for Miller deny any romantic connection between the duo. Despite rumors and ceremonies of romance between Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds are winding up friends. In a statement, the couple says, “After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.” And she says he’s just a friend, oh baby…
