We’ve seen Britney Spears get really pissed off at the media (we still can’t forget the time she went after a pap with an umbrella – maybe it was her baldness that made it so memorable). Little sis Jamie Lynn Spears wanted to be protected against the media and now it seems the City of Los Angeles and the L.A. Airport Police might be facing a lawsuit.

Jamie Lynn flew to Los Angeles last September 11 and LAX copes attempted to divert paps by using a decoy. Adessa Eskridge was the impromptu decoy used to by the cops just because she was on the same plane as Jamie Lynn. Attorney for Eskridge, Chuck Vernon, told TMZ one of the cops said to his client as she exited the plane, “You’re going to help us with something.” The eight officers made Elkridge keep her sunglasses on while they walked her to baggage claim where she was overwhelmed by paps. Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn cut out and totally eluded the paps.

Now Elkridge is looking for money from the City of L.A. Attorney Vernon says if her money claim is rejected, they will sue for false arrest and emotional distress. Even being mistaken for a Spears sister can get you in hot water!

Holidays and tragedies seem to go hand in hand. While some people are partying, others aren’t having such a good time. Seems everyone was ready for fun on Saturday when they attended rapper E-40’s concert in Denver but that’s not what they got.

Apparently suspects went on a shooting spree at the E-40 sold-out concern and five fans were wounded. One of the victims was in critical condition as of Sunday. The shooting happened during the early morning hours on Saturday as fans left Club Vinyl. The shots got fired into the crowd and one witness stated they observed, “50 or 60 people running for their lives”. The hotel across the street got shot up, too. According to Kendall Davis, security guard for the hotel, altercations frequently occur at the Denver club with six alleged crimes taking place over the past six months. Police are still investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, a famous actress endured the death of her daughter on Christmas Day. Lark Previn, adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Andre Preven, died after a long illness with no cause of death yet released. Neighbors say Lark lost weight and hair over the past few months but was very private. One neighbor stated, “She was a mystery.” Lark was born in Vietnam and her Korean-born adopted sister Soon-Yi made headlines in 1992 for having an affair with Farrow’s former partner Woody Allen then marrying him. Tis the season…

‘The Sopranos’ attracted plenty of attention and still do, even though they’re reruns. Everyone was addicted to watching the mob do their thing. Now one of the former actors on ‘The Sopranos’ was found in his Brooklyn apartment – dead.

Yes, the mystery and intrigue continue. Seems John Costelloe was found dead from a self-inflicted (this is what they say) gunshot wound right in his New York pad. The actor was 47 years old and played short order cook during the television show’s sixth season in 2006. Costelloe’s character was Jim “Johnny Cakes” Witowski and played opposite Joseph Gannascoli, the guy who played Vito Spatafore, the gay mobster.

In the series, Johnny Cakes gets romantically involved with Vito, who is running from the mob because he got caught in a gay club. In the series, Vito is murdered in a hotel room after his affair with Johnny Cakes. John Costelloe was found dead in his city apartment on December 18 and his demise is deemed to be an “apparent suicide” according to police spokesperson Lt. John Grimpel. The cops found Costelloe when his family members called because they could not reach him. The whole thing almost sounds like a plot from ‘The Sopranos’…

Getting snotty was never as significant as doing it with a celebrity nose on television. We already know it’s flu season and we’re all clutching soggy tissues to prove it. Anyone who isn’t sick already can look forward to catching the latest cold at family gatherings for the holidays. Anyway, it seems a used tissue scored a major bid of $5,300 on eBay.

That’s right, we’ve heard about all kinds of weird stuff getting big bucks on eBay but a used snot rag? It wasn’t just any old go blow – it belonged to sexy Scarlett Johansson. Seems she appeared a week ago on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” and started to joke around she caught her cold from her co-star Samuel L. Jackson. Scarlett quipped that made the tissue valuable and then ultimately agreed to put it on eBay. All of the proceeds of the sale of the snotty tissue will go to benefit a good cause – no, not a new outfit for Scarlett, but to USA Harvest.

The first bid on the tissue was a modest 99 cents. After 82 bids, the tissue was sold to the lucky bidder with $5,000. The charitable (or really odd) winning bidder has yet to be revealed.

When we talk about it being over for Jen, we usually mean Jennifer Aniston. After all, she recently bared it all for the cover of GQ and is still talking about Angie Jolie and ex Brad Pitt. It seems she just hasn’t gotten over the breakup. But today we’re wondering if another Jenny is facing a possible breakup…

That’s right, word on the street says there’s trouble in paradise for Jennifer Lopez and hubby Marc Anthony. Seems the couple hasn’t been seen together since October 23. People mag did see the duo on a date last Tuesday at a Beverly Hills restaurant. Jenny attended the premiere of Brad Pitt’s movie, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” without wearing her wedding ring. Further, a “friend” told US that Jenny from the block said, “This is my life now? I’m a Long Island housewife?” The couples denies breakup rumors and claims Jen and Marc just took some time out after the birth of their twins, Max and Emme.

The formal statement from the couple is, “The recent information on some tabloids about a supposed separation between Marc and Jennifer, and the accusations of erratic behavior of our client (Anthony) are absolutely ill disposed, false and defamatory”. Blanca Lasalle, rep for Anthony, says, “They’re doing great. They are together. He’s had a boys night out. She’s had a girls night out. There is nothing wrong with that”. Is this Madonna and Guy Ritchie all over?

Beautiful Brandy Norwood had her share of problems in recent years. Holiday time may remind her of that fatal car accident just a couple of years ago. Brandy was not charged with any wrongdoing but is surely still haunted by the memories. Meanwhile, her brother Ray-J was enjoying five minutes of fame in the famous sex tape “Kim Kardashian Superstar” that made Kim a reality show star and household name. (When you hear the word booty, you gotta think Kim-K.)

Anyway, Brandy is past all these difficult times now and seems to be ready to move on with her life as well as her career. Brandy is looking for a man (though we doubt she wants the deal Kim got with little bro Ray-J). Brandy says about her personal desires, “I want to be with a man. A man. Like, seriously, someone I can learn from, somebody I can be inspired by and just look up to and just be in awe. He’s a good example for my daughter, all of these things. It has to be that or I’m going to be single forever.” We really don’t think Brandy will be asking her brother to set her up with one of his friends…

For awhile everything was quiet for Lindsay Lohan but apparently she was confronted by a jackrabbit at the Jackrabbit Lounge. Alright, we just couldn’t resist that one. It seems Lindsay was supporting Samantha Ronson during a DJ gig at Jackrabbit when she was confronted by a suspected stalker. As Linsday was leaving the club, Daniel Patrick Combs jumped at LiLo and tried to get around club security to meet the object of his affections. The cops tackled him and the 38 year old guy was arrested for disorderly conduct.

When Lindsay and Sam talked to TMZ a few hours later, neither even realized what happened at Jackrabbit. Nobody got hurt and the duo were quickly shuttled away while Combs was detained outside Jackrabbit. It must have went so smoothly that Linds didn’t even see it. Dan Wierck, owner of the club, stated, “The gentleman became very excited when he realized he was so close to Samantha and he has a history of being a stalker with Lindsay Lohan so he immediately attacked her and started yelling, ‘I love her, I love her’.”

Guess Combs just can’t put those fabulous Firecrotch days behind him even though apparently LiLo has – and seems to be moving on with Sam.

We’ve been examining the troubled relationships in Hollywood lately. One of the biggest splits of late is Madonna and Guy Ritchie. Seems the marriage will be costing the Material Girl plenty – to the song of approximately 75 million bucks! The couple is still hashing out the details about custody of their children. Liz Rosenberg, Madonna’s spokesperson, states, “I’d assume it’s one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement.” Meanwhile, Madonna has been seen out and about with Alex Rodriguez (before and after their failed marriages).

As we reflect on the troubled relationships of Hollywood, who can forget the ongoing battle between Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen? Now that the duo is finally out of the tabs for fighting, it seems they are landing there by accident – an SUV accident involving their children Sam and Lola, ages 4 and 3. Seems the kids were out with a nanny on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu when a Honda cut in front of them. Four cars were involved in the crash but the only one hurt was the Honda driver. The kids are alright and reps for Denise and Charlie aren’t talking…yet…

In fact, the guy who offered the drugs to Winehouse – Johnny Blagrove – just landed in jail for two years. Seems he was the guy who supplied celebs with coke and ecstasy – then filmed them taking the drugs. He’s the one who sold the footage of Amy smoking crack and snorting coke to a newspaper. The cops raided Johnny’s house and found a target list of celebrities he and his live-in girlfriend planned to film while they were getting high. While Johnny’s in jail for two years, his girlfriend will be doing two years of community service. Wonder if filming or pharmaceuticals will be part of the deal? Either way, Winehouse will have to find a new dealer – or clean up her act.

As the weather gets colder and the holidays approach, the most beautiful babes in Hollywood are shedding their clothes for the camera. In most years gone by, we enjoyed sexy pics of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears during their partying days. Now we’re appreciating the naked glory of joyful Jennifer Aniston.

Now Khloe is joining the ranks of other hot honeys who protest fur including official PETA spokesperson Pam Anderson. Khloe’s wild hair is bigger than her trademark Kardashian butt - a definite feat for that photog to achieve for sure…
