Yes, the awards we’ve been waiting all year for are less than a month away. The Razzie Awards will be announced on February 21, just a day before the Academy Awards. This Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, is in the running for her own Razzie.

Seems Pinkett Smith was nominated for a Razzie for her role in the movie, “The Women”. Co-stars in the movie include Meg Ryan, Eva Mendes, Annette Bening and Debra Messing. Apparently the entire cast is competing to see who will win the Worst Actress category. Other competitors for the renowned Razzie include Paris Hilton for her part in “The Hottie and the Nottie”; Jessica Alba for her role in “The Eye” (did you hear she recently called Bill O’Reilly an “a–hole”?); Cameron Diaz for starring in “What Happens in Vegas”; and finally, Kate Hudson for her roles in both “My Best Friend’s Girl” and “Fool’s Gold”.

Despite the entire cast competing for the Worst Actress category, “The Women” is not in the running for Worst Film of 2008. Contenders for this illustrious category include “The Hottie and the Nottie”, “Disaster Movie”, “The Happening”, “Love Guru”,”In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale” and “Meet The Spartans”.

Either way, the winners will be in good company. Eddie Murphy was a winner of three of the four worst acting categories last year thanks to his appearance in “Norbit”. This year Murphy is competing for worst actor against industry leaders such as Al Pacino, Mike Meyers, Mark Wahlberg and Larry the Cable Guy.

It’s official. Seems that love is no longer in the air for Drew Barrymore, 33, and Justin Long, 30. Everyone was watching as the duo first got together in August last year, were spotted at famous hot spot Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. After courting for a couple of months, Barrymore and Long got more serious by November. The couple spent Thanksgiving with Long’s family in his hometown Fairfield, Connecticut, showing a deeper dedication to each other.

After the holidays, the couple seemed totally happy partying in Vegas, hiking in Hollywood and celebrating Drew’s birthday in LA with gal pal Cameron Diaz. In fact, in the March issue of Vogue magazine, Drew said about her relationship with Long, “My cheeks hurt I’m so happy.” When the couple appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show, Long said Barrymore was, “the most compassionate person I’ve ever met.” There certainly seemed to be plenty of mutual admiration going on.

Recently they celebrated Long’s birthday in Michigan. However, despite all this apparent bliss, the couple has split up. A rep for Barrymore stated, “I can confirm the split with no additional comment.” Oddly enough they co-star in the new movie He’s Just Not That Into You – could that be more true than anyone thought? We’ll be waiting for the real deal to come out…

We’ve seen plenty of Hollywood honeys getting high. Lindsay Lohan was caught in the act more than once. We can always count on Amy Winehouse for a public display of alcohol and drug use. Then there was that time Cameron Diaz was hanging out with what appeared to be a joint…

Now an older crowd of Hollywood ladies are turning to drugs and seem to be using interesting excuses to do it. Apparently Academy-Award winning actress Tatum O’Neal was caught buying crack. Yes, that’s right, 44-year-old O’Nel was caught and arrested near her home in Manhattan for purchasing crack cocaine. The purchase was made at on Sunday at around 7:30 PM. Tatum was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and has a unique reason for her shopping spree.

A source at the New York Post claims that Tatum told the cops the drug deal was for work. According to Tatum, “I’m researching a part. I’m doing this for a part as a junkie.” Do you believe it? Tatum is the daughter of actor Ryan O’Neal and outlined her struggles with addiction in a memoir entitled, “A Paper Life”. Tatum was the younger Oscar winner for her role in “Paper Moon” in 1973.

This weekend the one of the first hot summer flicks opened up, “What Happens in Vegas” and there’a already trouble from one of the stars. Was it Cameron Diaz or Ashton Kutcher who got in trouble? Seems like it was neither of the young co-stars who wound up getting arrested but older actor Dennis Farina who got himself in trouble.

Yes, Farina, a former star of TV’s “Law & Order” found himself on the other side of the law when a loaded gun was discovered in his carry-on luggage at Los Angeles International Airport. Seems that Farina forgot the .22 caliber handgun was hanging around in his luggage. He was booked for carrying a concealed weapon, which also turned out to be unregistered. This pumped the charges against Farina up to a felony and increased his bail from $25,000 to $35,000. According to the LA County Sheriff’s office, Farina posted bail and was released on Sunday night. According to Farina, “I apologize to anyone and everyone that I have caused any embarrassment or inconvenience to. It is my own stupidity to find myself in this embarrassing situation.” Meanwhile, Cameron kept her crotch covered and Ashton has no DUI’s so we’ll have to keep an eye on the older generation..

Rehab seems to be just another trendy Hollywood hangout these days. After all, cool celebs such as Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan went to rehab and even found romance while they were attempting to improve their heads – or at least save their images. Of course, there’s another up and coming young female pop star who is famous for not only going to rehab but trying to avoid rehab and even singing about rehab…

Amy Winehouse, properly named for her penchant for partying, liquor and well…stuff. Seems that Amy got caught in Norway for hanging out with Mary Jane – yes, marijuana possession. Hey, didn’t we catch Cameron Diaz checkout out some of that famous gold in Hawaii? Anyone got a snack?

Anyhow, Amy and hubby Blake Fielder-Civil along with an unknown third party got arrested in Bergen when the cops were tipped off. According to prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe, “They were found with seven grams (about a quarter ounce) of marijuana. She’s paid the fine, so this thing is over for us now.”

The best part of it all is that Amy will be moving on to the Netherlands from here – hey, no worries there, where Amy can party all she want and the law is on her side.

We’ve chuckled over Paris Hilton ganging a bong and walking around with her cute little puppies. We got a laugh at Cameron Diaz toking up in Maui on her vacation with Drew Barrymore. We actually worried when Britney Spears kept adoping puppies (that may have been valid since she just lost her kids). But marijuana wasn’t quite as funny when Michael Vick tested positive and was compelled to participate in mental health counseling and substance abuse therapy.

Now famous as the guy who let the dogs out, Vick has to stay at home between 10 PM and 6 AM and is electronically monitored. The Atlanta Falcons player faces charges related to dog fighting and in August plead guilty to conspiracy charges related to dog fighting on his property in Surry County, Virginia. The dogs were ordered to be evaluated by United States Department of Agriculture contractors and one of the 49 dogs that were seized will be euthanized because U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg says the dog, “exhibited intense aggression to human to the point where the evaluation could not safely be completed.”

Last month animal behavior experts from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals checked out the dogs and decided if they were best placed with families, in a sanctuary, as police dogs or euthanized and one dog will have to be sacrificed. It is likely that a guardian will be appointed to ensure the other dogs are properly placed. Vick will be sentenced on Federal conspiracy charges on December 10.

We’ve seen them – celebrities who appreciate Mary Jane and taking time out to take a toke, hold their smoke and blow their…well anyhow, we loved watching Paris Hilton speculatively gang a bong and Cameron Diaz in Hawaii apparently checking out some of that famous gold. We even revered the party at Hefner’s Playboy Mansion that advocated the legalization of marijuana. However, the green stuff isn’t legal quite yet and Michael Vick may be suffering the consequences.

Yes, Michael Vick (who let the dogs out?) was in enough trouble for his reported dog fighting, torture and killing ring and seems to have gotten into even deeper crap now. On September 13, Vick tested positive for marijuana and as a result will face stricter release conditions from the federal court judge.

The judge has ordered Vick to submit to any method of testing to determine “whether the defendant is using a prohibited substance”. Sure hope that Michael hasn’t been rolling with the dogs lately! Vick also has to remain in his Virginia home with electric monitoring – at his expense – daily from 10 PM to 6 AM. Oh well, no clubbing may make is easier to stay away from any herbal remedies…

Mystified bloggers have been wondering what happened with Criss Angel, who was seen around town with Britney Spears after being spotted with honeys such as Minnie Driver, Lindsay Lohan and Cameron Diaz. The Mindfreak had whined that he was just helping Spears out with her act and apparently, it’s the truth.

Britney is looking for a way to disappear from the stage (we could really go off on that statement but we won’t) and it is rumored to be happening at the MTV Video Music awards. Word on the street says that Spears will vanish and reappear several times during her performance, thanks to magic man Criss Angel and her dancers will be harnessed for “simulated flight”. We wonder if Angel can also make Britney’s talents reappear…

Anyway, with appearances in mind, Britney’s former manager was finally served, despite his efforts to stay out of the Spears/Federline custody battle. Recent resources revealed that Brit earns over $700,000 every month – not too shabby, y’all, despite those bad hair days! K-Fed currently gets $20,000 in spousal support every month, which will end in November – seemingly the cause of his recent 70/30 custody battle with Brit. His attorney is also looking for Britney to pay all the costs since she’s the major bread earner. Hey, what about K-Fed’s big TV gig? We think he already spent what he earned on the body guard and cab ride from the shoot…

Was everyone partying without popwreck Britney Spears this past weekend? Troubled Brit has experienced bald rages, horrendous weaves, custody battles with unemployed loser ex-husband Kevin Federline and most recently seen around town with grungy Mindfreak Criss Angel but this weekend her associates seemed to be having all the action.

Spears’ now infamous assistant Alli Sims was spotted partying it up without Brit at Wilmer Valderrama’s party at the Polaroid House and Alli reported about her boss, “She’s home right now.” Is Britney trying to be Supermom before the big custody debate?

Meanwhile, Criss Angel is known to move fast – from Minnie Driver to Cameron Diaz to Britney Spears and now was seen hanging out at a Midsummer Night’s Party with Playboy models. Angel states about the rumored romance with Spears, “We were talking about how she wants to do something more with the [awards] show, and about me helping out and hoping to work with her on doing something to make her MTV appearance more innovative. It’s amazing how you can’t do anything now without people making up stuff.”

However, there might be a knight in shining armor in Britney’s future yet. Donald Trump, dude with hair as bad at Brit’s, feels the popwreck is a “[bleeping] mess” and is negotiating to have her appear on “Celebrity Apprentice”. Could this breathe a bit of life into Brit’s career?

While Britney Spears has fired numerous members of her staff and gotten rid of Kevin Federline, she still wants to keep famed divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, on board to handle the crap Fed-Ex is throwing around to get more money…or custody or whatever this loser is trying to pull off.

Problem is Brit has been a popwreck at it seems that Wasser wants to resign at her attorney. Ditzy Laura, who represented Angela Jolie, sealed the divorce last month an has no intention of going further with this. Word on the street says Wasser put Brit in touch with other attorney but Spears isn’t digging the candidates.

Meanwhile, seems that Britney is freaking out over a new guy – magic Mindfreak Criss Angel, famous for bagging babes like Minnie Driver and Cameron Diaz while he was still married. Apparently Criss and Brit spent time at Towers Hotel in Beverly Hills together then the next night Angel went to W Hotel in Westwood to see Spears at 3 in the morning and didn’t leave until the next morning. We want to know the real secret to the magic this freaky dude works…maybe horny bloggers might get luckier…
