Stars going to rehab is nothing new. In fact, it almost seems to be a sign of prestige to check into one of this pricey facilities to get “rehabbed”. From Lindsay Lohan to Richie Sambora to Amy Winehouse (despite her song protesting otherwise), celebs hang out at rehab. The latest celeb to spend time in a rehab facility is Steven Tyler, the voice and face of Aerosmith and dad of lovely Liv Tyler.

Apparently Steve isn’t there to fight a drug or alcohol habit – he took care of that when he completed a rehab program in 1986. Seems that Steve checked into rehab to be in a “safe environment” to recover from foot surgeries and related physical therapy, resulting from his active stage performances over the years.

According to Tyler, “The doctors told me the pain in my feet could be corrected but it would require a few surgeries over time. The ‘foot repair’ pain was intense, greater than I’d anticipated. The months or rehabilitative care and the painful strain of physical therapy was traumatic. I really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet.” Well, with Steve literally trying to “get back” on his feet, this is a good place to avoid taking too many of those pain killers…
