Alexa Ray Joel is the daughter of famous singer Billy Joel thanks to his marriage to Christie Brinkley. Billy Joel is known for his songs about Long Island and New York, his hometown. Alexa Ray Joel grew up in posh Sag Harbor, attended New York University for awhile then dropped out to pursue her own singing career - just like dear old dad.

In 2006, Alexa Ray Joel put out her own short album that included her single, “Invisible”. Not invisible anymore, Alexa Ray was rushed to the hospital recently after taking 8 pills at her New York City apartment.

A friend with Alexa Ray called 911 to let them know she took the pills. At this point, it is unknown whether the overdose was accidental or an attempted suicide. Was Alexa Ray just partying like other famous Long Islanders such as Lindsay Lohan? Did she get upset after the very public and controversial divorce between mom Christie Brinkley and former hubby Peter Cook. Only time will tell.

Alexa Ray is in stable condition and getting the help she needs at the hospital. We wonder how daddy and mommy feel about all this…

It seems like all the horny old men have gone wild lately. Most recently, Dr. Phil was sued by a woman named Shirley Dieu who claims she sought therapy from Phil in 2007. Instead she was allegedly held captive in Dr. Phil’s production offices, forced to stare a man with no clothes and then the doc grabbed her left breast. Dieu claims Dr. Phil tried to “brainwash” her, subject her to physical and emotional abuse and forced her to be in the same room “with a completely naked live man while he exposed his entire naked body, genitals and all.” When Dieu allegedly tried to escape she claims she was “blocked by the staff to prevent her from leaving.” We assume she is suing for an insane amount but it’s undisclosed at this point.

Meanwhile, David Letterman publicly admitted he had sex with his staff members than had to face the heat from his wife. Staff members who brought the scandal to light are already being banned from The Late Show set.

Now Peter Cook, ex-hubby to Christie Brinkley, claims Brinkley is keeping him away from his kids and wants her imprisoned - or at least to take anger management classes. What is making all these old guys go wild?!?!

Despite the kindnesses exchanged after the incident, everyone is still shocked at the way Kanye West stepped on stage and took over at the VMAs when Taylor Swift was accepting her reward. Whether West thought Beyonce deserved it or not, his behavior was over the top (even when you consider his bad boy rep). Swift was polite about it and West expressed regrets.

Much like the rest of us, Toby Keith had his own opinions about the event, stating, “”You think he would have done that if Snoop Dogg would have been up there? Or Kid Rock? You think he would have run up there? You think if there had been a male figure up there accepting the award that he didn’t know and had never met, you think he would jump up there and do that? You think if Trace Adkins was up there, he would have run up there and do that? But, this is a bunch of celebrity bulls— why this blew up. I’m talking about the bare, primal, humanity … I’m talking about, you’re in a mall, you have your daughter with you, and somebody comes up and does the same thing for a different reason. You know what I mean? You’re going to get your ass whipped.”

It seems Toby feels Kanye deserved a good, old-fashioned ass whooping for swooping down on Swift…

After the unexpected death of Michael Jackson, the buzz was about custody of his three children, Prince Michael, Paris Michael and Blanket. Voyeuristic bloggers hoped there would be a heated dispute between the King of Pop’s mom, Katherine Jackson, and his former wife, Debbie Rowe. It seems the parties have reached an amicable custody agreement so there won’t be any hair-pulling or cussing…

Rowe is the surrogate mother for two of the three children. Though Rowe accepted money and relinquished her parental rights in 2000, they were reinstated by a judge in 2005. After a custody dispute, Michael Jackson got primary custody in 2006.

Michael wanted his mom to take care of all three children and Mama Jackson, age 79, was named as their temporary guardian. Rowe will be able to visit the two schedule. L. Londell McMillian, Katherine’s attorney, described the negotiations between both sides as cordial.

Eric George, attorney for Rowe, stated, “The parties engaged in a dignified discussion that resulted in a dignified outcome. The sole consideration between the parties was the best interests of the children. I’m proud to have worked with such professionals who represented Ms. Jackson, and I am particularly proud of Deborah for her integrity and selflessness.”

Further word on the street says no money exchanged hands…hmm…

For the past several days, all the media and celebrity reports have been about Michael Jackson. Who will get custody of the three children? Who will run Michael’s vast estate, which includes some serious bills? As his mama and papa try to take over, it seems the lawyers and his ex-wife are in the lead.

As everyone considers the latest happenings in the Michael Jackson saga, one sexy celebrity slunk out with another (not that such an event is surprising - it’s just the time made it less publicized). Seems sexy Megan Fox was seen stepping out with none other than High School Musical Star, Zac Efron.

Who would have thought Zac would land the Fox? It’s the real deal, the duo went out on an intimate date for a romantic dinner. According to OK!, Zac and Megan were sitting almost on top of each other and got “very friendly” during their date. It seems the rumors about Zac and Vanessa Hudgens breaking up might be true…or maybe Zac and Megan thought nobody would notice with all the Michael Jackson news…either way, we can’t wait to see Vanessa’s reaction!

While everyone was mourning the loss of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Victoria and David Beckham were celebrating. In all fairness, the duo was celebrating their 10th anniversary, a major feat for celebrity marriages. The Beckhams hung out in the Seychelles Islands and a slender Victoria was seen wearing a bikini bottom that matched her hubby’s. Aren’t they always making a fashion statement?

Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s former wife Debbie Rowe has announced through an attorney that she won’t be attending the memorial ceremony tomorrow for her deceased ex-husband. Apparently she doesn’t want to be a distraction at the ceremony but word on the street says it could be because she’s pursuing custody of their two children. Rowe also says she’ll take on custody of the third child (she is not the surrogate mom for this one). Rumor says Michael wanted Mama Jackson to parent his children in the event of his demise…

Seems a line from Michael Jackson’s song “Billie Jean” may turn out to be true. The children may not really be his sons…or daughter. They may not be the children of former wife, Debbie Rowe. It seems all three of Jackson’s children were conceived in vitro…outside Rowe’s womb.

Apparently sources say Michael was not the sperm donor and Debbie did not use her eggs. Word on the street says Debbie was the surrogate and got well-paid for her services in birthing Michael Jr. and Paris. Further rumor has it Michael’s youngest child (Prince Michael II) was born by a surrogate who didn’t know the identity of the receiving parent. Three days after the baby was born, Jackson’s attorney picked him up at the Grossmont Hospital in San Diego county.

Nobody knows if Jackson hand-picked sperm and egg donors or if he didn’t even know who they were. This may present a new case before the California courts if Rowe pursues a custody battle. Rowe and Jackson were married at the time the children were born, which would cause the presumption she was the biological mother. Other evidence might be used to rebut this. Documents outline the arrangement of birth but Michael was not the biological father and may not have formally adopted any of the kids.

Seems Michael’s family life is as complicated to settle as his finances…

Everyone was shocked to see the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, was dead. TMZ was overloaded and the web slowed to a halt as people around the world scrambled to find out 50 year old Jackson died from what is believed to be cardiac arrest. But is that the whole truth?

Jackson had a house physician, Dr. Conrad Robert Murray, who was present. Jackson received a daily dose of Demerol at noon which might the the real cause of his death. The cops towed a BMW beleive to belong to Murray from Jackson’s rental home because “it may contain medications or other evidence that may assist the coroner in determining the cause of death,” according to police spokeswoman Karen Rayner.

It seems Jackson stopped breathing just a short time after taking a shot of Demerol. A source told The Sun, “Shortly after taking the Demerol he started to experience slow shallow breathing. His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped. His staff started mouth-to-mouth and an ambulance was called which got there in eight minutes. But paramedics found he was in full respiratory arrest, no breathing and no pulse. They started full CPR and rushed him to hospital.”

The Jackson family spokesman, Brian Oxman, stated on Thursday evening to CNN, “I can only tell you that this is something that was not unexpected. The people who have surrounded him have been enabling him. If you think the case of Anna Nicole Smith was an abuse, it’s nothing in comparison to what we have seen taking place in Michael Jackson’s life.”

Liza Minelli, a friend of Jackson, stated on Friday to CBS, “When the autopsy comes, all hell’s going to break loose, so thank God we’re celebrating him now.”

The latest buzz is about Chastity Bono, the daughter of famed Cher and Sonny Bono. This darling little blonde girl used to appear on the “Sonny and Cher Show” on television looking like an angel. When Chastity grew up, she revealed she was a lesbian to the surprise of viewers around the globe. Now Chastity has decided to make the formal switch to become a man named “Chaz”.

So what does mama Cher have to say about it all? Cher states about her new son Chaz, “Chaz is embarking on a difficult journey, but one that I will support. I respect the courage it takes to go through this transition in the glare of public scrutiny, and although I may not understand, I will strive to be understanding … The one thing that will never change is my abiding love for my child.”

Speaking about a mother’s love for her child, Kate Gosselin of “Jon and Kate Plus Eight” was on her own with the brood while daddy was off…somewhere? During her time in charge, the paps caught Kate spanking one of the kids. Kate retorted about the matter, “Whether the paparazzi are there or not, I am a mother first … I love my children and when they misbehave, I discipline them as I deem appropriate for the situation.”

Today Britney Spears faced her past and got a break when a judge ordered former media leach Adnan Ghalib stay away from her for three years. Conservators for Brit already got a temporary restraining order that prohibited Ghalib from contacting her. Ghalib didn’t show for the hearing so the judge granted the permanent injunction. From now on, Britney will be free from Adnan’s wily advances so she can move on with her new life and success.

Kanye West also had to deal with his recent past from an incident at LAX on September 11, 2008. West was charged with a total of three criminal misdemeanors including battery, grand theft and vandalism in connection with a camera-smashing incident. Kanye’s manager Don Crowley was also charged with two count of grand theft, two counts of vandalism and two counts of larceny. Both West and his manager are scheduled to be arraigned on April 14. Kanye could get up to 2 ½ years in the slammer if he gets convicted on all counts and his manager could get 5. We think the next time the camera gets in Kanye’s face he’s going to grit his teeth and say, “Cheese!”
